Fading Shredders Lose 6th Straight
The Las Vegas Flamingos beat the Hollywood Shredders, 8-7, at The Hollywood Bowl. The Flamingos got a fine performance from first baseman Raúl Miranda, who went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs. The win belongs to Bryan Griffin in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Octávio Ortíz took the loss for Hollywood. Arsen Campbell closed the game out for Las Vegas, earning his 1st save.

Las Vegas needed the clutch hitting of Jake White to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Flamingos on top, 8-7. For the game, White had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Hollywood skipper Bill Cheese.
