Dirty Reds Stick Voodoo with 7-3 Loss
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds and MSL New Orleans Voodoo.

The inspired effort of MSL New Orleans second baseman Dale Bland was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-3, to the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds. Bland was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Luis Cortéz recorded the save, his 1st.

Jorge Trevino was a key contributor to the win for the Dirty Reds. In the top of the sixth with one out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a single to center. He was 1-4.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Trevino told the MSL San Mateo Herald. "It's as simple as that."

The 6th-place Dirty Reds are now 12-12, the Voodoo 15-9.
