Voodoo Knock Off White Walkers, 4-1

MSL New Orleans and MSL Buffalo got after it at MSL Buffalo Ballpark.
The MSL New Orleans Voodoo defeated the MSL Buffalo White Walkers, 4-1, in USPL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Buffalo Ballpark. MSL New Orleans pitcher José Pérez had a standout performance. Pérez, now 5-2, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Dae-hwan Park finished the game for MSL New Orleans and earned his 7th save.
MSL New Orleans used a well-timed hit by Dale Bland to capture the win. The second baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"I like our moxie," said Voodoo manager Don Skerrett.
The Voodoo move to 14-6 with the win, while the White Walkers drop to 8-12.
