Starting pitcher Oliver Reynolds pitched well enough to help the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers beat the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds, 5-3. The Kingfishers now have a record of 9-7 with the win over MSL San Mateo.

The Kingfishers got a big hit from designated hitter Álex Torres. In the bottom of the fifth, Torres pounded a solo home run to right. His 7th home run of the season put the Kingfishers ahead, 3-1.

Reynolds called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
