Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Kingfishers
|
MSL Pittsburgh starter Declan Iddon pitched well against the MSL New Orleans Voodoo at MSL New Orleans Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Iddon went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-1. Dave Joseph nailed down his 3rd save.
MSL Pittsburgh took a 3-2 lead on Álex Torres's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run came off MSL New Orleans pitcher Rijk Leenderts in the top of the eighth.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said MSL Pittsburgh manager Ricky Miller.
MSL Pittsburgh now sits in third place in the PL MSL at 7-5.
