White Walkers Defeat Dirty Reds, 4-1
|
The MSL Buffalo White Walkers got a stellar performance from pitcher Willie Silva, who handcuffed the MSL San Mateo offense en route to a win, 4-1, at MSL Buffalo Ballpark. The winner in relief was Yuk Yan. He is now 2-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Aad Wapperom was credited with the save for MSL Buffalo, his 4th of the season.
In the bottom of the sixth, MSL Buffalo left fielder Dakila Sulit put his team on top. With two out and a runner on 1st, he hit his 3rd home run of the year. MSL San Mateo pitcher Vincente Álvarez served it up. Just like that, the White Walkers were ahead, 2-1.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Silva.
The defeat makes MSL San Mateo 2-6.
