The San Mateo Dirty Reds grabbed a win, 8-3, over the Baltimore Bullets at Lang Park. San Mateo left fielder Ronald Dacanay went 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Sylvain Richard, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 2 hits, while walking 7 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 2-1. Eugene Phillips got credit for the save for San Mateo. It was his 1st of the year.

The Dirty Reds got an important contribution from first baseman Matsusuke Saikawa, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a 2-2 cutter into right for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Dirty Reds ahead, 4-2.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Saikawa told the San Mateo Gazette.

Baltimore drops to 9-8.
