|
Long Island wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Irving Bouman, falling to the Tulsa Otters, 4-2. Bouman threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Tulsa reliever Phil Chamings picked up the win to move to 2-3. Ramón García suffered the loss. Tulsa has a 4-game win streak, while Long Island has lost 7 in a row.
Tulsa won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Ramón García on the mound for Long Island, right fielder Ron Oglethorpe hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Otters fans to their feet.
