Tight Tilt Goes to Crush, 2-1
|
The Flint Crush got a magnificent performance from pitcher Juan Soto, who stifled the Tulsa offense en route to a 2-1 Crush win at Ballpark of Hughesville. Soto, now 10-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 9, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Elwood Graham converted his 5th save in 5 tries.
Flint took a 2-1 lead on Yic Hsi's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Tulsa pitcher To-wai Gang in the top of the seventh.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Soto, "and go after the next one."
Flint, at 44-47, occupies 8th place in the Menard's Low A.
