|
Flint rode a decent outing from starter Chris Morris to victory over the Northwest Territory Beavers. The final score was 5-3. Picking up the save was Elwood Graham, his 4th. The 8th-place Crush sport a record of 43-47.
A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Crush sent 21-year-old pinch hitter William Collins to the plate with runners on 1st and 3rd. The youngster shook off the pressure and grounded out, driving in 1 run, to put Flint on top, 4-3.
"Chris was able to execute his pitches," said Flint manager Tim Nelson. "Simple as that."
