Floundering Flamingos Lose 12th Straight
The Colorado Billy Goats beat the Las Vegas Flamingos by a score of 5-2. Colorado pinch hitter Maurice Wrightson deserved the lion's share of the credit. Wrightson went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Billy Goats. Chris Edwards finished the game for Colorado and earned his 10th save. The misery continues for the Flamingos, which has now dropped 12 in a row.

Wrightson had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-0 fastball from Arsen Campbell, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Billy Goats a 4-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Wrightson.

Wrightson told a Colorado Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
