Long Island rode a decent outing from starter Vince Barnard to victory over the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople. The final score was 5-3. Jussi-Pekka Hostikka closed it out for his 12th save. Long Island raised its record to 49-33 with the win.

Long Island used the clutch hitting of Dan Lauer to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ducks ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
