Flint starter Chris Morris had a strong outing against the Long Island Ducks at Flint Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-0 win. Júlio Medina converted his 16th save in 17 tries. The 8th-place Crush improved to 38-43.

The Crush got a big at-bat from center fielder Jeremy Lovelace. For the game, Lovelace went 2 for 4 with 2 triples, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Flint a 1-0 lead.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Lovelace told the Flint Today.
