Toros Ballpark was the site for M3L Low A action featuring the Tijuana Toros and Tulsa Otters.
Tulsa Otters starter Gilberto Espinoza hurled his team past the Tijuana Toros, 5-2. Tulsa, now 38-36, holds down 6th place in the Menard's Low A.
The standout performance belonged to 18-year-old Espinoza. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Otters. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Toros, striking out 12 and scattering 3 hits over 6.2 innings. Espinoza is now 4-4 on the season.
"It's good to win," Espinoza told the Tulsa Today. "I like to have fun doing it."
