|
The Capital Hill Interns powered past the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 9-5, at Alouettes Ballpark. Juan Romero was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3, to lead the charge. John Willis was called on to finish, recording his 11th save. With the win, the Interns improved to 31-41.
Jesús Bañuelos tagged a home run off Ramón Sánchez in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run blast put the Interns on top, 8-5. In all, Bañuelos had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
