The Capital Hill Interns beat the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 10-8, at Alouettes Ballpark. Capital Hill second baseman Joaquín Rodríguez collected 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Peer Krol earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Picking up the save was John Willis, his 10th.

Rodríguez contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Capital Hill in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 8-7, Rodríguez took a splitter from Aires Honig and stroked the double to left. His 1st double of the season allowed the Interns to leap in front, 9-8.

"I know we have our doubters," said Ellesmere Island manager Dale Sunter. "But I still have high hopes for this team."

At 30-41, the Interns claim 10th place in the Menard's Low A.
