Lakers Deal Lighthouse Painful Loss
|
Echo Park Lakers starter George Crane pitched his team past the Long Island Lighthouse, 3-2. Danny Kas, now 1-4, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The triumph makes Echo Park 11-40.
Félix Gonzáles was the walk-off hero for Echo Park. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lakers designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Put a star next to this win," Crane said.
