Toros Topple Snowpeople, 9-5, as Chapman Shines
The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople and Tijuana Toros were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

William Chapman drove in 3 runs to help Tijuana defeat Ellesmere Island, 9-5. The right fielder had 1 double and 2 home runs for the Toros. Takakazu Ishihara got the win, improving to 3-2. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Carlos Muñóz got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Chapman put Tijuana up, 5-3, when he hit a solo home run off Francisco Cortés in the bottom of the fifth. His 13th home run of the season helped the Toros capture the win.

"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Chapman.

With the win, Tijuana has a record of 36-30. Ellesmere Island falls to 37-29.
