Beavers Get Past Greenport for 3-2 Win
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers defeated the Greenport Harbor Whales, 3-2, in M3L Low A action at Beaver Town. Northwest Territory pitcher Anthony Payne had a standout performance. The first-place Beavers have a one-game lead in their division.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Harbor Whales allowed the Beavers to score the winning run.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Mark Tillman.
