Otters Handle Harbor Whales, 11-3
|
The Tulsa Otters met little resistance from the Greenport Harbor Whales, beating them 11-3 at Ballpark of Robbins. José Bazaldua led the way. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Tulsa. Marc Clemow, the winner, goes to 5-0. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts over 5.2 innings. At 33-30, the Otters claim 6th place in the Menard's Low A.
Tulsa used the clutch hitting of António García to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Otters the lead, 7-3. For the game, García had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said García.
