Rams Sink Otters, 9-7
|
The Ladue Rams handed the Tulsa Otters a loss at Ballpark of Wellsville. The final score was 9-7. Major production was provided by Max Williams for Ladue. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 1. He also added 1 walk. Lex Boon picked up the save, his 12th. Ladue, at 22-38, holds down 11th place in the Menard's Low A.
Marvin Dailey tagged a home run off Mark Phillips in the bottom of the seventh. His 3-run blast put the Rams on top, 9-7. In all, Dailey had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Rams manager Lance Davis wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
