Rams Suffer 3-1 Setback
|
Luis Rojas was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Tulsa and Ladue. The Otters left-hander helped his team beat the Rams, 3-1. Tulsa reliever Darrell Hodges picked up the win to move to 2-2. Ahvo Lumme suffered the loss. The save went to Luis Román, number 7 for him.
Tulsa relied on the bat of Ed Ward to get the win. The right fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Otters ahead, 3-1. For the game, Ward had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Ward. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
Tulsa, at 31-28, sits in 5th place in the Menard's Low A.
