In a tight affair between the Long Island Lighthouse and the Las Vegas Flamingos, pitcher Shem Burkholder was in the zone. The Long Island right-hander helped his team win the game, 2-1. Burkholder, now 3-4, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Picking up the save was Christopher Tracy, his 7th.

David Saunders, who leads the SL in stolen bases with 15, helped out the Long Island cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 4 with a triple.

The losses continue to mount for Las Vegas, which has now dropped 7 in a row.
