Otters Knock Off Beavers, 10-7
|
The Tulsa Otters powered past the Northwest Territory Beavers, 10-7, at Ballpark of Hughesville. Gregory Hartman was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times, to lead the charge. Reliever Hirohisa Koshin picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Philippe Fabre took the loss. The 7th-place Otters improved to 15-16.
António García, who is tied for 6th in the 3A- in hits with 34, contributed to the Tulsa win with a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
Otters manager Ben Cooper wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
