Streaking Pandas Win Another One, 5-0
|
Montana pitcher Kelly St. John did his part in helping his team beat the Las Vegas Flamingos, 5-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. St. John, now 4-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 2, walking 5, and allowing no runs. Todd Jackson earned the save, his 1st.
Jae-woo Yi helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Pandas.
"The wins are coming in bunches right now," said St. John. "We'll enjoy it while it lasts."
The second-place Pandas now have a win-loss record of 31-14.
