2-0 Loss Extends Germantown Skid
|
The bats were silent much of the day at The Zoo. But Sandross Bañaga conjured up just enough offense to carry the Rhinos past the Germantown Uruguayans, 2-0. Bañaga went 1-3 with a home run. The losing skid has reached 10 games for Germantown.
The Rhinos grabbed the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out, Esteban Ortega hit a solo home run off Zachary Thwaites, putting Redwood in front, 2-0. For Ortega, it was his 2nd home run of the season.
"We're in a funk right now," said Germantown skipper Luis Díaz.
