Gators Win in Glorious Fashion, 4-3
|
The North Ft. Myers Gators topped the Redwood Rhinos, 4-3, in USSL Low A action at Dodge Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of North Ft. Myers pitcher Juan Rodríguez. With the victory, the Gators record now stands at 48-42.
The Gators were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when shortstop Joshua Hill turned a first pitch fastball from Salvador Árias into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the Dodge Field denizens and sent the Gators home with a thrilling 4-3 win.
Rodríguez said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
