Angel Kitties Deal Warheads 7-2 Setback
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Bethlehem Angel Kitties and Amarillo Warheads.
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties topped the Amarillo Warheads, 7-2, in USSL Low A action at Kittie Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Bethlehem pitcher Min-zhong Deng. The winning pitcher was Deng, now 7-9. He tossed 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5.
Daniel Zarate had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Bethlehem. He came through with a 2-run single to put Bethlehem in front, 3-2.
"I like our moxie," said Angel Kitties manager Sal Haynes.
The 'W' lifts Bethlehem's record to 49-40.
