Crush Come Up Short at Capital Hill, 4-3

The Capital Hill Interns picked up a win at Alouettes Ballpark, knocking off the Flint Crush, 4-3. On the mound for Capital Hill was right-hander Jaime López, who played a pivotal role in the win. López went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-2. The Interns now have a record of 5-15.
Capital Hill second baseman Alvin Trevino contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter into left field for a 2-run single. It was his 10th hit of the season and put the Interns ahead, 4-1.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" López told the Capital Hill Times. "You win just by scoring more runs."
