Bompton Hot Streak Continues with 3-1 Win
|
The 3-1 Bompton win over Germantown was due largely to Richard Tanner. The Baby Lakers center fielder threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 runs. Tanner picked up the win for Bompton, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 7-3. The save was credited to Michael Bowles, his 6th.
With Bompton leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Tanner hit a curveball from Álex López for a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Baby Lakers ahead, 3-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Tanner.
The winning continues for Bompton, with the latest making it 7 straight.
