Trash Pandas Beat Amarillo, 2-1
|
The Watford City Trash Pandas eked out a 2-1 win versus the Amarillo Warheads at Ballpark of Henderson. Nobody did more than pitcher Gilberto Malfeito. He was terrific. The win puts Watford City at 46-26 this season.
The Trash Pandas liked what they saw from Malfeito. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Warheads to no runs on 1 hit over 6.1 innings, and striking out 13.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Malfeito told the Watford City Times.
