5 Straight Wins for Piranhas
|
Starting pitcher Pat Butler pitched well enough to help the Panama City Piranhas beat the Echo Park Lakers, 4-3. The misery continues for the Lakers, which has now dropped 14 in a row.
In the bottom of the sixth, Panama City left fielder Domingo Reyes had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, Reyes stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 4-1, Panama City. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Butler said.
