Shockers Stick Rhinos with 5-1 Loss
|
The Shockers grabbed a win, 5-1, at Shockers Field, overcoming a fine effort from Redwood pitcher Jin-u Yong. Yong went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Surprise, at 30-38, sits in 8th place in the Silver Low A.
Surprise took a 5-0 lead on Ludovic Devaux's 13th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Redwood pitcher John Borrett in the bottom of the eighth.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Devaux said after the game.
