Trash Pandas Win 5th Straight, Take Down Uruguayans, 6-4
|
Tetsuo Yoshida was a vital contributor to the 6-4 Watford City victory over Germantown. The Trash Pandas second baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Ron Thomas, who threw 86 pitches over 6.1 innings. The left-hander was charged with 2 runs on 4 hits. Mikilana Lokela earned the save, his 3rd, for the Trash Pandas.
Carl Beggs was 1-3 with a walk. He scored 2 runs for Watford City. In a tie game with no one out in the bottom of the sixth, Beggs came through with a run-scoring walk. It put the Trash Pandas in front, 3-2.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Watford City manager Bob Sosa.
The win puts Watford City at 42-24 this season.
