The 8-3 Redwood win over Bethlehem was due in large part to Mathieu Duval. The Rhinos third baseman was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Redwood currently is in last place in the Silver Low A at 18-47.

With Redwood leading 5-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Duval hit a splitter from Haywood U. Cuddleme for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Rhinos ahead, 8-2.

In postgame comments, Duval told the Redwood Herald: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
