Bethlehem and Redwood played a hard-fought contest.
In a low-scoring contest, Bethlehem pitcher Min-zhong Deng was marvelous in his team's 2-1 win. Felipe Cardona finished to wrap up his 11th save.
Deng earned the win, going 7.2 strong innings for Bethlehem. The native of Tachi, Taiwan, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 14. Redwood hitters did next to nothing against the left-hander.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Deng said.
Today's win puts Bethlehem at 36-28, while Redwood falls to 17-47.
