The North Ft. Myers Gators beat the Bompton Baby Lakers, 5-3, at Field of the Browns. North Ft. Myers designated hitter Cliff Baldwin had an outstanding performance. He belted 2 home runs. North Ft. Myers reliever Wikoli Niley picked up the win, raising his record to 3-4. Brian Quarles was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Alex Wilson, his 7th.

North Ft. Myers used the clutch hitting of Francisco López to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Gators ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Credit where credit is due," said López, "this was a team win."

With the win over Bompton, the Gators improved to 35-28.
