Plattsburgh beat Redwood on the strength of starter Mario Hernández's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The winner was Maximino Troviscal in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Chris Evans took the loss. Plattsburgh, at 29-25, occupies 5th place in the Silver Low A.

This game was not decided until Dale McKinney came to bat in the top of the ninth. With the bases loaded and one out, the Plattsburgh designated hitter hit a sacrifice fly. The Puffer Fish took the lead, 4-3.

"Sometimes, you can be too aggressive," said Redwood manager Dave Parrish. "You need to let the game come to you."
