Maine Sea Dogs pitcher Lonnie Dixon was in fine form, leading his team past the Bompton Baby Lakers, 2-1. Maine reliever Andy Bender picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Richard Tanner shouldered the loss. The second-place Sea Dogs have won 5 in a row.
The most significant at-bat for Maine came with the bases empty in the bottom of the ninth. Sea Dogs designated hitter Lorenzo Álvarez hit a double to win the game.
