Octopi Deal Interns 9-1 Defeat
The Ogallala Octopi and starting pitcher Eduardo Garduño stifled the Capital Hill offense en route to a comfortable 9-1 win at Alouettes Ballpark. Garduño got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. Garduño allowed 1 run. With the loss, Capital Hill drops to 0-3.

The Octopi got a big hit from first baseman Eric Cox. In the top of the fifth, Cox pounded a bases-clearing triple to right-center. His 1st triple of the season put the Octopi ahead, 7-0.

"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Octopi manager Félix Cruz.
