King Superb in 1-0 Loss to Ogallala
|
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Capital Hill Interns home opener. Les King started for the home team against Barry Cuda for the Ogallala Octopi. The Interns were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 1-0, Ogallala. Les King, though, was impressive.
Wen Lau provided a timely hit. The Ogallala catcher delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Octopi on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"It was our day today," Lau told the Ogallala Herald. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
