3-1 Loss Deepens Surprise Funk
|
In a well-pitched game between the Watford City Trash Pandas and the Surprise Shockers, pitcher Mike Joseph was fantastic. The Watford City left-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-1. John Pierce collected save number 10. Watford City has now won 4 games in a row.
The Trash Pandas got an important contribution from first baseman Joe Lyons, who in the top of the sixth hit a fastball into right for a solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Trash Pandas ahead, 2-0.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Joseph. "Successful pitchers do it."
