Baby Lakers Fall to Sea Dogs, 9-0
|
With left fielder Joahan Urdiales leading the charge, the Maine Sea Dogs defeated the Bompton Baby Lakers, 9-0, at Field of the Browns. Urdiales, who is rated as the 80th best prospect by BNN, went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Andy Bender in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Michael Temple took the loss. The 4th-place Sea Dogs have won 5 in a row.
Maine used the bat of George Houston to get the win. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Sea Dogs ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Urdiales called the triumph "a good team win."
