Flamingos Get One-Run Win at Colorado
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos picked up a win at Grazing Hills, courtesy of Troy Dalton. The right-hander helped his team stop the Colorado Billy Goats, 3-2. Dalton got the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Dalton allowed 2 runs. Don Williams closed the game out for Las Vegas, earning his 9th save.
Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Santiago Harmon to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Flamingos on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I like winning," Harmon told the Las Vegas Chronicle. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
Their 18-17 record puts the Flamingos 5th in the Silver League.
