Puffer Fish Come Back Late, Nip Baby Lakers
The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish defeated the Bompton Baby Lakers, 8-7, at Field of the Browns today. Leading the charge for Plattsburgh was left fielder Robert Lander. He was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Ronald Hensball picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-3. He struck out 5 in 7 innings. Plattsburgh bumps their record to 11-14 with the win.

With Plattsburgh trailing 6-3 in the top of the eighth, Lander hit a fastball from Júlio Castro for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Puffer Fish ahead, 7-6.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Bompton manager Júlio Villegas. "But we decided not to take it."
