5-2 Loss to Pandas Extends Echo Park Losing Streak
|
Montana starter Kelly St. John pitched well against the Echo Park Lakers at LA Forum. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. Jeffery Meyers earned the save, his 15th. The losses continue to add up for Echo Park, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
Montana used the bat of Xavier Botín to get the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Pandas ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Echo Park manager Jordan Calhoun.
