Uruguayans Saddle Rhinos with 4-3 Loss
|
Germantown Uruguayans starter Bum-ho Im pitched a strong game against the Redwood Rhinos at The Zoo, leading the Uruguayans to victory, 4-3. Carlos López got the save, the 2nd for him this season. Germantown, at 8-12, sits in 9th place in the Silver Low A.
With runs few and far between, the Uruguayans had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Germantown came in the top of the fourth inning, when catcher Haroun Ghiyath delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Dean Mangin and made the score 2-1, Uruguayans. Ghiyath was 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch.
"I liked his command," said Germantown manager Luis Díaz. "Bum-ho was throwing strikes."
