The Amarillo Warheads defeated the Redwood Rhinos, 7-5, in USSL Low A action at Ballpark of Henderson. Amarillo pitcher Xian-yao Huang had a standout performance. Reliever Wijnand Boone picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Chris Evans took the loss. Redwood, now 3-14, continues its dreadful start.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Amarillo trailing 5-4, Francisco Medina jumped on a 1-1 slider from Chris Evans for a 3-run home run, sending the Warheads to a walk-off win.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Redwood skipper Dave Parrish.
