The Amarillo Warheads defeated the Redwood Rhinos, 3-2, in USSL Low A action at Ballpark of Henderson. Amarillo pitcher Akihito Miura had a standout performance. Cristiano Carrión earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 2-0. Redwood falls to 3-13.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Luis López was at the plate when Amarillo scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Warheads to go in front, 3-2.

"What we get, we earn," López told the Amarillo Daily.
