Warheads Lose Late, 3-1
|
In a well-pitched game between the Bompton Baby Lakers and the Amarillo Warheads, pitcher Michael Temple was fantastic. The Bompton right-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-1. The win moves Bompton to a record of 10-4.
Bompton took a 2-1 lead on Weston Hensball's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hensball hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Amarillo pitcher Esteban Aguilar shaking his head.
"This was a tough loss," said Amarillo manager Armentario Holguin. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
